Wang Mingdao – The Nelson Mandela of China

“Both Chinese Christians and foreign observers of China’s religious scene have long considered Wang Mingdao (1900-1991) to be one of the outstanding Chinese Christians of the 20th century. His impact on the lives of hundreds of other Chinese Christian leaders both before and during his imprisonment had been incalculable. Without the political implications, he was the Nelson Mandela of Chinese Christianity.” Page 47 [Wang suffered 22 years in prison for his faith and his refusal to join the Three-Self organization.]

  1. Great article. There’s a lot of good information here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Fedora with the up-to-date beta of Firefox, and the layout of your blog is kind of bizarre for me. I can understand the articles, but the navigation doesn’t work so great.
